These Terms & Conditions govern your purchase and use of DRIVO hardware, software, and services. Please read them carefully. They contain important information about your rights and obligations, including limitations on DRIVO's liability and how disputes are resolved.
Acceptance of Terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("you," "your," or "User") and DRIVO Technologies Ltd. ("DRIVO," "we," "us," or "our"), a company incorporated in England and Wales.
These Terms apply to all users of the DRIVO website at drivo.ai, the DRIVO mobile application ("App"), the DRIVO AI car companion hardware device ("Device"), and any related cloud services (collectively, the "Services").
Your acceptance is indicated by any of the following actions: completing a purchase of a DRIVO product, activating a DRIVO device, creating a DRIVO account, downloading the DRIVO app, or continuing to use our Services after these Terms have been updated.
Eligibility
To use DRIVO Services, you must meet the following requirements at all times:
- Age: You must be at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is greater.
- Legal capacity: You must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction.
- Driving licence: You must hold a valid driving licence for the jurisdiction in which you operate a motor vehicle with DRIVO installed.
- Jurisdiction: You must be located in a country or territory where DRIVO products are lawfully available. DRIVO is currently available in the United Kingdom, United States, UAE, Pakistan, and select EU member states.
- Not prohibited: You must not be barred from receiving our Services under any applicable laws, including sanctions or export control regulations.
Products & Services
DRIVO offers the following products and services, each subject to these Terms:
DRIVO reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or service at any time with reasonable notice. We are not liable to you for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of services.
User Accounts
Certain features of our Services require you to create a DRIVO account. By creating an account, you agree to the following:
- Accurate information: You must provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration and keep it updated at all times.
- One account per person: Each person may maintain only one DRIVO account. Duplicate accounts may be suspended without notice.
- Account security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use at security@drivo.ai.
- Non-transferable: Your account and any associated licences are personal to you and may not be sold, transferred, or assigned to any third party without our prior written consent.
- One device per Standard account: Standard plan accounts may register one DRIVO device. Pro accounts may register up to two devices. Elite accounts support unlimited devices under a fleet dashboard.
Purchases & Payment
All purchases of DRIVO hardware and subscriptions are processed through our secure payment partner, Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to the following payment terms:

- Currency: All prices are listed in USD. Prices in other currencies are indicative and subject to exchange rate fluctuations at checkout.
- Taxes: Prices shown exclude applicable VAT, sales tax, or import duties. These will be calculated and added at checkout based on your location.
- Payment methods: We accept major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
- Failed payments: If a payment fails, we will retry three times over 7 days before suspending cloud services. Hardware orders will not ship until payment is confirmed.
- Fraud prevention: We reserve the right to cancel any order we reasonably suspect is fraudulent, without liability.
Subscriptions
DRIVO Pro cloud subscriptions (after the included first year) are billed annually and auto-renew unless cancelled. The following terms apply to all recurring subscriptions:
- Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle at the then-current price. We will send a renewal reminder 14 days before the charge date.
- Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time via the DRIVO app under Settings → Subscription → Cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds for unused time.
- Price changes: We will provide at least 30 days' notice before any price increase. If you do not cancel before the increase takes effect, your continued use constitutes acceptance.
- Downgrade: Downgrading your plan may result in loss of access to features and cloud-stored data associated with the higher tier. We recommend exporting your data before downgrading.
- Feature changes: We may add, modify, or remove features within a subscription tier. Material reductions in functionality will be communicated at least 30 days in advance.
Returns & Refunds
We stand behind our product. Our refund policy is designed to be fair and transparent:

License & Intellectual Property
All intellectual property in DRIVO products and services — including hardware design, firmware, software, AI models, trademarks, logos, and content — is owned by or licensed to DRIVO Technologies Ltd. and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
What you own: When you purchase a DRIVO device, you own the physical hardware. The purchase does not transfer any intellectual property rights to you.
What we license to you: Subject to these Terms, DRIVO grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to:
- Use the DRIVO App on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use
- Access and use DRIVO Cloud Services as permitted by your subscription plan
- Use the DRIVO Device firmware as embedded in the hardware for its intended purpose
Prohibited Use
You agree not to use DRIVO Services in any way that is unlawful, harmful, or contrary to these Terms. The following uses are strictly prohibited:
- Illegal activity: Using DRIVO for any purpose that violates applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
- Vehicle tampering: Using DRIVO to bypass, disable, or interfere with any vehicle safety system, emissions system, or OEM-mandated control system.
- Distracted driving: Interacting with the DRIVO App manually while driving a moving vehicle. Voice commands are the only sanctioned in-motion interaction method.
- Surveillance: Using DRIVO's camera or microphone capabilities to monitor, record, or surveil third parties without their knowledge and lawful consent.
- Resale of access: Selling, renting, or sublicensing access to DRIVO Services to third parties without our written authorisation.
- Security attacks: Attempting to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of DRIVO's systems; or attempting to gain unauthorised access to any DRIVO server, network, or database.
- Competitive intelligence: Using DRIVO Services for benchmarking or competitive analysis against DRIVO without our prior written consent.
- Fraudulent use: Submitting false information, fraudulent warranty claims, or chargebacks in bad faith.
- Interference: Introducing malicious code, viruses, or any software that interferes with the proper functioning of DRIVO Services or other users' devices.
Violation of these prohibited use terms may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account, forfeiture of any refund eligibility, and potential legal action.
Safety & Driver Liability
DRIVO is an assistive technology designed to support — not replace — attentive, responsible driving. By using DRIVO, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
Hardware Warranty
DRIVO Technologies provides the following limited hardware warranty on all DRIVO devices purchased directly from DRIVO or an authorised reseller:

Warranty does not cover: physical damage from misuse or negligence; water damage beyond the device's IP rating; damage caused by unauthorized modification or repair; normal wear and tear; cosmetic damage that does not affect function; or damage caused by vehicles not compatible with DRIVO's OBD-II specifications.
To make a warranty claim, contact warranty@drivo.ai with your proof of purchase, serial number, and a description of the fault. We will respond within 2 business days.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DRIVO Technologies Ltd. and its directors, officers, employees, agents, and licensors shall not be liable to you for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, business, or goodwill
- Damages arising from your use of or inability to use DRIVO Services
- Damages resulting from any vehicular accident, collision, or traffic incident
- Inaccurate, delayed, or missing diagnostic data or navigation information
- Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data by third parties
- Any matter beyond DRIVO's reasonable control
In all cases, DRIVO's total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising from or related to these Terms or the Services shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid to DRIVO in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $100 USD.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless DRIVO Technologies Ltd., its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:
- Your violation of these Terms or any applicable law or regulation
- Your use of DRIVO Services in a manner not authorised by these Terms
- Any content you submit, post, or transmit through our Services
- Your negligent or wrongful conduct while operating a motor vehicle
- Any third-party claim arising from your use of DRIVO Services
DRIVO reserves the right, at its own expense, to assume the exclusive defence and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, in which case you agree to cooperate fully with DRIVO's defence.
Termination
Either party may terminate the relationship under these Terms at any time, subject to the following conditions:
- By you: You may delete your DRIVO account at any time via the App or by contacting us. Hardware functionality will continue; cloud services will cease at end of billing period.
- By DRIVO — for cause: We may immediately suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or misuse our Services. No refund will be issued for cause-based termination.
- By DRIVO — without cause: We may terminate your account with 30 days' notice for any reason. You will receive a pro-rated refund for any unused cloud subscription period.
- Effect of termination: Upon termination, your licence to use DRIVO software ceases. You retain ownership of the physical device. You should export any data you wish to keep before account deletion, as we cannot recover deleted account data.
- Survival: Sections 08 (IP), 10 (Safety), 12 (Limitation of Liability), 13 (Indemnification), and 15 (Disputes) survive termination.
Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute arising from or related to these Terms or our Services, both parties agree to attempt resolution through the following process before resorting to formal legal proceedings:
- Informal resolution: Contact our support team at legal@drivo.ai. We will acknowledge within 5 business days and attempt to resolve within 30 days.
- Mediation: If informal resolution fails, either party may request non-binding mediation administered by a mutually agreed mediator. Costs shared equally.
- Arbitration: If mediation fails, disputes shall be finally resolved by binding arbitration under the rules of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), with a single arbitrator, conducted in English in London.
- Small claims exception: Either party may bring individual claims in a small claims court of competent jurisdiction if the claim qualifies under that court's jurisdictional threshold.
- Class action waiver: You agree that disputes will be resolved individually. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against DRIVO.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Subject to the dispute resolution process in Section 15, the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any legal proceedings arising out of or in connection with these Terms, except where prohibited by applicable consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.
For users in specific jurisdictions, the following additional laws may apply:
- EU/EEA users: EU consumer protection regulations and the GDPR apply. EU mandatory consumer rights are not waived by these Terms.
- California (US) users: California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) rights apply. See our Privacy Policy for details.
- Pakistan users: Applicable provisions of the Personal Data Protection Bill and Electronic Transactions Ordinance apply.
- UAE users: Applicable provisions of UAE Federal Law No. 45 of 2021 on Personal Data Protection apply.
Changes to Terms
DRIVO reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will:
- Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
- Send an in-app notification to all registered users at least 14 days before the change takes effect
- Email registered users for changes that materially affect their rights or obligations
- For changes that materially expand our use of your data, we will seek fresh consent where required by applicable law
Your continued use of DRIVO Services after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance. If you object to any change, your sole remedy is to stop using the Services and request account deletion. Archived previous versions of these Terms are available upon request.
